ESPN’s College GameDay is a weekly traveling television show that takes place on college campuses and officially kicks off the day of College Football games.

Sportscaster Lee Corso has been the face of College GameDay, but on Saturday, August 30, Corso sat beside fellow broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit for the final time as the show aired in Columbus, Ohio. The week one showdown was between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns.

One of the many things that Corso is famous for is the picking of the headgear. Every Saturday, during the prediction of who will win the showdown of the day. The first pick that Corso ever made was between Ohio State and Texas, and the last pick he ever made was between them as well. This event was a full circle to viewers involved in his reign at College GameDay.

Corso concluded his run on College GameDay with his infamous motto: “Thank you, Sweetheart,”directed to all the memories he has made throughout the year at the desk.
