Cracker Barrel faces backlash for new company changes; President weighs in
Reinventing the Barrel

Cracker Barrel, a beloved southern old-timey restaurant, faces backlash from consumers after a company change.
Announced on Aug. 19, the company revealed a change to the logo. They removed the words “Old Country Store,” as well as the figure of “Uncle Hershel.”
A change that seems so simple, expanded beyond its original purpose
As soon as the news was released, it received negative reactions and comments. People saw it as taking away the charm that the store was known for.
Even President Donald J. Trump posted on Truth Social about the issue.
“Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate poll), and manage the company better than ever before,” Trump said.
Just over a week later, Cracker Barrel addressed the concerns and complaints in a social media post on all major platforms.
“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain.”
They also stated that the company’s values were in no way changing.
Crowds expressed joy to see that the company listened to the complaints.
President Trump responded to the news by congratulating Cracker Barrel on changing the logo back.
“Make lots of money and, most importantly, make your customers happy again!”
