After 30 years of operation, Adventure Landing has officially closed. It operated from May 26, 1995, until it permanently closed on October 15, 2025.
The announcement was posted to AdventureLanding.com.
“Adventure Landing extends its deepest gratitude and love to the hundreds of guests, season pass holders, and every dedicated employee who has been a part of the Adventure Landing – Jacksonville Beach story over the past 30 years.”
When Adventure Landing opened, it quickly became a staple for families, school trips and summer fun. It featured Shipwreck Island Water Park, go-karts, mini golf, laser tag and an arcade.
“It was so fun, and I remember running around with my friends. It was always sunny out and it was so welcoming,” sophomore Olivia Ellis said.
Adventure Landing had a short timeframe to stop operations, which brought an end to 30 years of memories and laughter.
“I am devastated that it’s getting torn down,” junior Olivia Markman said. “It was my childhood and so many others’, too.”
The land is expected to be redeveloped and turned into apartments, though details have not been finalized, according to AdventureLanding.com.
