Bishop Kenny NJROTC will offer a new dual enrollment course in partnership with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
The class, taught by Commander Brian Morrill, will consist of two semester-long courses. The grade weight for the course is equal to an AP class.
“Upon completion, they earn six college credits for transfer,” Morrill said.
The courses are named 120 Principles of Aeronautical Science, which is described as a broad-based aviation orientation in flight related areas, and 220 Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, which includes surveys of uncrewed aircraft systems, emphasizing military and commercial history.
“I am extremely excited to do the dual enrollment class,” junior Morgan Tulang said. “It’s going to be exciting to get my drone license.”
This will be the second dual enrollment course available to BK students. If you are interested in signing up, email the academic deans to switch elective classes.

The Embry Riddle Dual Enrollment elective is open to motivated BK Junior and Senior students who want to get a headstart on earning college credits–especially if going into an aerospace-oriented field. You will be part of BK’s NJROTC; as such, you will have a few minimal requirements. Only 24 seats are available, so don’t take too long to decide! If you have any questions, ask CDR Morrill in Rm 304.
