Students reveal which “The Summer I Turned Pretty” team they are on
Battle of The Brothers

Each time I open Tik Tok or Instagram, within the first five videos I watch, one of them is about “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”The biggest question I see is, “Are you Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah?”

In other words, do you want Belly to be in a relationship with Conrad or Jeremiah?

In order to find out Bishop Kenny’s response, I interviewed students to hear their opinions.

Team Conrad

Conrad, the older brother, is in love with Belly, who is engaged to his brother. Conrad goes to college at Stanford and is studying to become a doctor.
Without a doubt, BK’s overall response was Team Conrad.

“He’s better for her and is more mature,” senior Elaina Akel said.

Conrad prepares food for Belly and always makes sure she is eating.
Although people argue he is moody and mysterious, he is always concerned about her and does not act like a child around her.

“Belly doesn’t baby him,” senior Cing Niang said.

Team Jeremiah

Many view Jeremiah as irresponsible and dependent on Belly. He failed a semester in school, remains in credit card debt, and cheated on her while they were on a (debatable) break.

A reason people are team Jeremiah is because they believe Conrad is an emo boy.

It was very hard to find anyone who is Team Jeremiah, but senior Samantha Grippi believes he is the better fit for Belly.

“I think they both love Belly equally, but [Jeremiah] is happier, and more in love with her,” Grippi said. “She needs that kind of joy in her life.”

Team Belly

For those who do not support either relationship, they are Team Belly. Those who are Team Belly are fed up with the drama surrounding the love triangle, or simply believe she needs to be an independent woman.

“She’s a queen and doesn’t need a man to have success in life,” senior Carter Wright said.

For all my “The Summer I Turned Pretty” fans: which team are you?
