The varsity football team kicked off its season with a win against the Suwannee Bulldogs on Friday, Aug. 15. The Crusaders won with a final score of 42-27.

Senior captains James Davis, Gavin Hawkins, Robert Measor and Gunnar Rogers plan to continue pushing the team to its full potential.

“[We need] a lot of conditioning because our volume for our bodies aren’t up to par yet, and ultimately just sharpening up techniques and any errors made in the kickoff classic,” Davis said.

The Crusaders are back in action on the river against University Christian on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. Watch out for future updates via social media.
